    Cut Paper, Cut Costs

    , Director, Enterprise Content Management

If there is one thing that every company has in common, it’s paper and trying to keep track of it. Industry aside, construction companies building skyscrapers and medical providers servicing sick patients both deal with paper — and lots of it. The phrase “Going Paperless” doesn’t mean removing every single piece of paper from an organization nor does it mean that employees will become obsolete. It means pinpointing specific areas of the company that are paper-heavy, manually-driven, and time-consuming then finding a smarter way to execute the process. More than ever before, government officials feel increased pressure to provide easy access to public records, and often face legal mandates for fulfilling requests. Unfortunately, an overreliance on paper-based, manual public records request fulfillment makes meeting request deadlines difficult. Hunting down documents from multiple departments, locations and filing cabinets puts a strain on government staff and leads to lengthy fulfillment cycles. Given the increase in public document requests and the scrutiny from the federal government to provide the public with better access to records, there is no doubt constituents want better access to public records. With this comes an expectation that government offices responsible for complying with these requests are prompt in their response. (more…)

    Harness Document Workflow Management Automation

    , Director, Enterprise Content Management

For many small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) document processing can be a task greeted with as much enthusiasm as a migraine headache.  On the surface, it should be viewed as the simple process of producing, routing, tracking, editing and storing documents associated with the daily conduct of their businesses.
